Manor Green’s commitment to the training and development of its support staff marks it out as the exemplar school in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Over 50 members of staff have enrolled on a Teaching Assistant apprenticeship since August 2018 making the School by far, the largest user of the Borough’s Apprenticeship Levy funding pool.

Additionally 14 staff have embarked upon pre apprenticeship training to develop their key skills and prepare for an apprenticeship should they decide this is the career path for them.

This model fits in with the day to day operational demands of the School and the particular needs of each apprentice whilst at the same time meeting all of the regulatory demands that are now expected of apprenticeship providers and employers.

Our joint approach to dealing with additional learning support needs or changes in the apprentices personal circumstances have ensured that achievement rates run consistently in excess of 90% and student satisfaction rating are over 95%.

We have recently been approved as an apprenticeship provider.  We are able to provide support to both Manor Green School and local schools to help develop staff by developing a bespoke and consistent delivery model.  We are looking forward to growing our provision to help our students who have completed their education, as well as our local community, gain access to apprenticeships.
