At Manor Green School we have four competitive Houses, named after 2012 medal winning paralympians, and students and staff are allocated to a house when they join the school.
The Houses are:
-
Peacock: Blue
-
Weir: Yellow
-
Simmonds: Red
-
Storey: Green
We expect everyone to support their House and students can win House points for following our 'Golden Rules':
-
Treat people kindly
-
Listen to each other
-
Look after our school environment
-
Do our best
and for academic excellence.
The winning House is the one with the most points at the end of each week and this is announced at Friday morning assembly, when the winning House flag is hoisted. Students achieving 50, 100, 200, 300 + points are awarded with a certificate at the assembly and the House with the most points at the end of the year wins the House trophy.
